A very rare and seldom seen reference, beautiful Tripe Date maintains the Offshores characteristic elements while offering more wrist-friendly dimensions than others in the model line. The 39mm octagonal shaped case features expertly hand polished elements on the bezels flanks, mid-case and lug hoods. A prominent bezel gasket distinguishes the Offshore from the standard Royal Oak and provides a stylistic hint to its more robust construction. A conventional petit tapisserie pattern has been applied to the matte blue dial and is surrounded by a metallic chapter ring displaying a radial date. Apertures on the dial show the day and month and complete the triple calendar. Housed underneath the caseback is the calibre 2127/2827 movement, which has automatic winding and a 38-hour power reserve. This example is presented in very good condition, with some visible marks and scratches on the case commensurate with age but minimal. The accompanying leather strap is new and also comes with a factory Audemars Piguet deployant clasp. It comes with a box but no papers are included in the sale.
