The dial has the serif vintage logo type of writing and the grey waffle dial make for a stunning combination. The very first Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in a single tone, bi-metal configuration came out way-back-when in 1990 with this reference 56175TT. This Royal Oak is no Jumbo: it measures 33mm in diameter and has the calibre 2612 movement, which is quartz. It was made in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces and the watch itself was made of stainless steel and tantalum. Tantalum is a durable, dense, blue-grey metal used by other manufacturers such as F. Journe in his Chronomètre Bleu and in AP in select models. Not many manufacturers use the material as it is incredibly hard to work with and even harder to polish! This stunning example of the Royal Oak 56175TT is in very good condition and appears to have been cherished by its previous owner. The Tantalum bracelet is in nice tight condition with minimal stretch and free from of any significant scratches or wear.
