Offered here is a beautiful example of the much-appreciated Stainless-Steel Triple Calendar 39mm AP Royal Oak Offshore. It has been nearly 50 years since the creation of the original Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and this now iconic watch is more popular than ever. First unveiled by Audemars Piguet in the 1970s and designed by Gerald Genta who also designed the Patek Philippe Nautilus, the Royal Oak has become a distinctive classic with its distinctive features and its role as a pioneer for a luxury sports watch. This watch features an incredible movement, the Calibre 2127/2827. The movements features include; rhodium-plating, faussescotes decoration, 36 jewels, straight line lever Escapement, monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions Shock-absorber and a self-compensating flat balance spring rotor with 21K gold segment. All of this together makes this Royal Oak one of the most special and functionally competent ever made. Furthering this, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Triple Date 25808ST was introduced in the early 1990s and was only produced until 2000, making it a very difficult watch to find. The reference 25808 was manufactured in stainless steel and has a blue Tapisserie dial, with display windows indicating the day and month with a subsidiary seconds dial and central day hand with a perimeter register. The dial has stainless-steel hour baton markers along with stainless-steel hands with luminescent inserts. The case is 39mm and slightly thicker than the standard Royal Oak (9 mm), which makes it a very well-proportioned watch and provides terrific wrist presence. The overall condition of this example of the Royal Oak 25808 is excellent and must have been treasured by its previous owner. The Tapisserie Blue dial, markers and hands are all in stunning condition, along with the contrasting leather strap and stainless-steel deployant clasp being in very good condition.
