The rarest of royal oak references – the 14700! Made in the early 90s for a very short amount of time and as a replacement for the 4100, it’s the model that precedes the 14790 which spanned several years. It is visually larger than the more common 14790 due to its thinner bezel and larger dial. It is also extremely thin at 7.2mm in height. It’s 28mm dial means that visually it resembles more the classic royal oak jumbo 5402, which has a 29mm dial. This is a great opportunity to own a super rare royal oak that is also very wearable by today’s standards. Older royal oak are my picks when it comes to watches with good investment potential and will surely gap up on the back of the PP nautilus craze. There is no logical reason for such a large price difference in my opinion. This neo vintage royal oak is one of the rarest. The watch was recently serviced and polished by Audemars Piguet and is in excellent overall condition. Both cosmetically and mechanically. I have also managed to source an unused replacement blue/grey dial for an alternative look if you don’t like the full gold. I like it as is personally… I know which one I’d rather have… Any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Inspection in Central London is possible too for your peace of mind.
